Wilmington Playgrounds Wilmington (Newcastle County) DE Playground renovation updates aging urban parks. Heavily used playgrounds require periodic upgrading. The City of Wilmington recognized that several of their urban parks either had outdated equipment or inadequate facilities for certain age groups. Composite Inc. created schematic plans for playgrounds in six existing city parks together with Lager-Raabe. These plans included structures for organized play, seating for children and adults, spray pools, and other features. The strict budgetary requirements of the city for both installation and maintenance guided the selection of durable yet attractive components. Each facility was planned for maximum safety and appropriateness for the selected age groups and combined new technology with time-proven solutions. Upon approval by the city, Composite Inc. prepared construction documents and cost estimates for each of the six playgrounds.
